  • An African tribal hand carved wooden stool or low table. 

    Whilst not definite, it has been made in the style attributed to the "Senufo" people of West Africa. Clearly visible are tool marks which are unmistakably that of a hand made piece. Presumably made from a local hardwood.

    Although I am unable to provide an accurate age for the piece, the signs of many years of use are evident. I have noted that similar styles and attributions are estimated to be early 20th century in origin.

    Dimensions - Top diameter 42.5 cm (16 1/2 inches) Height (max)  21 cm (8 1/4 inches).
