Antique Apprentice Piece
A superb antique apprentice made pine chest of drawers. The bottom drawer carries a handwritten signature and date, "Arthur Handley Jan 29th 1879".
Made from solid pine, the drawers are constructed using dovetail joints at both the front and back. Handmade wooden buttons have been used to fix the top to the carcase.
Showing patina and colour accumulated over 150 years, there is clear evidence of age and use. The piece simply exudes charm and desirability. Note that the trim on the underside of the top is missing a small corner piece on the left front and there is a replacement of the original trim on the right side. There is a small nick out of one handle. Please see images provided.
