    In very nice antique condition with evidence of age and use. In working order.

    Impressed stamp Fields Patent 1661/77. 

    Of uncertain use but research suggests a military connection, so possibly a campaign item. Use as a stand for a bowl or with a canvas top, a stool is suggested. 

    Carefully and ingeniously made from Oak with a pivoting metal mechanism to allow the synchronised opening and folding of the four struts/legs. Nicely chamfered and finished solid Oak, suggesting quality.
