Antique Leather Cartridge Case

A quality antique leather cartridge case with brass fittings. 

Age uncertain but estimated to be late 19th or early 20th century.

In very nice condition for its age and of a quality which would have made this an expensive item when bought new. The lock is in working order but there is no key. The handle and belts are secure. The case is robust. The leather has a lovely aged colour. There is evidence of age and use with wear, and minor scratches etc to the leather. It is missing two leather ferrules for one of the belts and the internal belts are also absent. 

Embossed initials to the lid are C E S which is assumed to have been the original owner. Probably military or estate connected.
