Antique Saddler's Mallet
An antique Lignum Vitae Saddler's mallet. Used in the making of leather horse collars. The head is shaped similar to a bowling wood.
In excellent condition for its age. A lignum vitae head on an oak shaft with leather hanging strap. An impressive colour and an interesting and unusual tool, ideal for display.
Weighs in at 1.6kg (3 1/2lb).
Length (Head + shaft) 28cm. Head diameters: 13cm & 9.5cm.
