Antique Shooting Stick
An antique French shooting stick made from brass, bamboo and rattan, believed to be early 20th Century.
In good overall condition but with the loss of two small sections of bamboo to the seat (best seen in image 4). These sections are decorative only and have no effect on it sturdiness or use as a seat.
Stamped BTE. S.G.D.G. - "Breveté Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement" and in English means: "Patent without guarantee of the government"
Features a folding seat and a metal disc to the spike for use in soft ground. Can be used as a walking stick when in a closed position.
With the brass detail and patterned cane it makes for a very nice decorative and usable item.
Approx. dimensions: Height upright 90 cm (closed) 73 cm (open). Seat 34 cm x 11 cm.
