Antique carved oak and bronze writing box. Probably late Victorian or Edwardian in date.
The lid of the box has a carved wood surround with an inset bronze bas relief depicting an eagle (possibly a white tailed eagle) with fish in a natural setting. The casting is very detailed and sharp indicating a quality piece.
