Bluebird II Speedboat Model by Sutcliffe

A vintage tinplate clockwork model "Bluebird II" by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd in its original box. Also comes with its original key and internal box packing.  The cream colour is correct. The clockwork mechanism is still working (tested).

Made by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd, Horsforth, Leeds probably during the late 1950s or early 1960s.

The company was a well known and respected manufacturer of tinplate clockwork boats. After 99 years the company sadly, ceased to trade in 1984.

A rare collectors piece and impressive display item.

The model has some very minor paint losses as shown in the images. The box has moderate wear along with one small puncture to the top and a couple of minor punctures to the bottom section. 

Approximate dimensions are: Length 32 cm (with rudder extended), otherwise 31 cm. Width 19 cm.
