Czech Folk Art - Corn Husk Dolls

A Czech folk art Corn Husk Dolls diorama with perspex covering.

A charming decorative piece. Believed to have previously been an educational display it comes with a protective wooden case with the logo ERS (Educational Resource Srevice). Age unknown.

Corn husk dolls are a traditional folk art made from the waste leaves of the corn cobs. Originating in the 17th century, such products could provide welcome additional income at market.

The display base and protective perspex case measures (approx)  Width 32 cm x  Depth 19 cm  x  Height 19 cm.

In good condition. Small cracks/ marks in the perspex are shown in the images.
