A large mechanical fairground racehorse and jockey. Part of a large mechanical sideshow presumably with fairgoers hopefully placing bets on their chosen racehorse.
Of unknown age and origin. Estimated to be mid 20th century. Evidence of age and use over time. In working condition.
The base is designed to run on wheels along a channel pulled by cable (presumably with four or five other racehorses in parallel). There is some articulation of the model as it rolls along giving the impression of a horse running.
Made from painted fibreglass fixed to an alloy framework and green painted metal 'trolley' base.
