  • A French lidded bucket advertising "Bouillie Vauclusienne". Literal translation appears to be "Vauclusian Porridge". The advertising goes on to claim that the product is completely soluble in water (soluble dans l'eau) and 20 years of success.

The maker of this acclaimed product is TH. Arnaud of Courthezon which is within the wine producing region of Cotes de Rhone. The presence of the crest depicting Bacchus supports our assumption that the advertising relates to a product linked to the wine industry.

Age unknown but is probably early 20th century. In robust but distressed condition having the 'shabby chic' appeal. Could be repurposed for a number of functions.

A small amount of woodworm to the handle has been treated.

Size approx:  Height 27.5 cm   Lid 30 cm diameter
