  • A 19th Century or early 20th Century leather hat or 'Tull'. 

    Marks in the leather suggest it is Belgian in origin. A feint impression "HA BELGIQUE" can be discerned by close examination.

    Made from hardened leather stitched to form the equivalent of today's 'hard hat'.

    Obvious signs of age and use over time. The leather has been given a light clean but retains its patina and wear.

    An interesting piece of industrial history.

    External dimensions (Brim) 28.5cm x 25.5cm.  Internal dimensions (Head size?) 20.5cm x 17cm.
