Vintage double sided estate agent's enamel sign
Vintage Enamel Sign
A vintage double sided estate agent's enamel sign. HH & J Robinson were a well known and long standing firm during the 20th century.
Made from vitreous enamel on a heavy gauge steel plate, the sign is believed to date from the 1930s. Note the telephone number, given as 'Waterloo 529', a practice prevalent in the 1920s and 30s before local dialling codes.
In good condition for its age but there are obvious signs age and weathering which are well documented in the images.
A nice piece of social and business history as well as a very attractive decorative display item. A great colour!
Approximate dimensions (excl. flange) 61cm x 43cm
