A painted wooden scratch built toy steam train engine.
Estimated to be 1930s to 1950s in origin. Possibly based on the LNER A4 'Mallard' design of steam locomotive.
In good condition but with evidence of age and use over time as shown in the images. The colour is a deep burgundy with yellow trim lines.
