Vintage Tri-ang Tinplate Tipper Lorry
A Tri-ang Bedford series tipper lorry.
Made from tinplate. This series was made by Tri-ang between 1937 and 1956. The cut out sections of the chassis suggest this particular example was made post WW2. The shortage of metal available for toy manufacture forced the company to economise on material.
In very nice working condition. There is evidence of age and use with some loss of paint and a few dents and dings. Otherwise this example has survived the last 70 years or so very well.
