Vintage Wastepaper Basket

A very nice example of a vintage wire wastepaper basket.

These baskets were commonplace in offices during the early and mid 20th century. I suspect that few remain in this condition.

Some surface accumulations and a little surface rust where the metal has been exposed. It is likely that the wire was originally galvanised.
